Cylinder Type Strainer
Strainer is the installation equipment which separates dirt, sediments and various foreign substances which may exist in the fluid (cold water, hot water, superheated water and steam) physically thanks to its filter and prevent them to damage oth- er equipment in installation. It is made from cast iron and of flange type. It may be cleaned by removing its drain cock on cover. Strainers are used to protect equipment such as pumps; water counters and automatic check valves form foreign mat- ters by being mounted on intake side of this equipment.
Magnetic Filters include tube magnets, magnetic grids, magnetic drawers and other filtering devices. They are mainly used to capture weak magnetic iron contaminants (such as rust, iron filings), oxides and other small ferromagnetic impurities in liquids, slurry flows, powders, gases, etc.
Magnetic Filter is currently widely used in the power industry to improve water vapor quality, such as hydrophobic iron removal, high temperature condensate reuse iron removal, and fluid food filling lines for the removal of fine metal impurities to ensure food safety. In addition, it is also used for installation after the pulper in the paper industry or before the pulp pump to capture harmful iron such as iron wire and nails in the pulp.
Chemical cleaning of furnaces, heaters and boilers during their operation
This invention relates to cleaning of sediments and fuel remaining and in particular, to cleaning of furnaces, heaters and boilers during their operation.
Furnaces, Heaters and Boilers in different sizes and configurations are used in oil refineries, chemical plants, and power plants for supply of energy. High thermal efficiency of furnaces, heaters and boilers is critical to maximize production and minimize waste of energy.
Current cleaning methods require a shutting down of equipment, production breaks and use of scaffolding. They consist on sand or water blasting, or steel brushed and sand paper.
Those methods have significant disadvantages: damage to tubes or refractory, confined space entry, scaffolding, shut-down of the process unit, and more. The invention is based on On-Line pneumatic spraying of dry chemicals, combining chemical and mechanical cleaning simultaneously.
Performing the cleaning through existing opening in the radiant, convection, economizer, superheater, air pre-heater and other sections of the equipment obviates the need for water, confined space entry, scaffolding. Cleaning is performed On-Line during normal operating conditions; there is no need to shut down the process unit and no damage to tubes or refractory.
Chemistry is based on a blend of compounds in different ratios to achieve desiredcleaning results and to maximize the cleaning effectiveness.
